Meet the Team
Tom Lorenz has served the City of Glendale for 32 years. He is a 30 year law enforcement veteran. In January of 2011, while serving as the Adjutant to the Chief of Police, he was moved into a dual role as the Public Information Officer for the City of Glendale to support all City Departments in communications. In August of 2014, Tom was appointed Director of Communications & Community Relations. Tom oversees the City's community outreach through the Creative Media and Digital Innovation sections that include the award-winning GTV6, winner of seven Emmy's. Through collaborative efforts, Tom and his staff have moved towards greater community partnerships and civic engagement through increased information accessibility, events, and digital presence across many platforms.

Dan Bell has two decades of experience in city government. Mr. Bell comes to the City of Glendale after seven years of employment with the City of Monrovia. During his service with Monrovia, Dan oversaw various programs and projects including citywide filming activity, contract administration for the City Legislative advocacy in Washington D.C. and Sacramento, and serving as the City’s Public Information Officer, among other duties. He began his employment with the City of Glendale in January 2013. Mr. Bell currently serves the Glendale community as the City’s Community Relations Coordinator. In this role he is involved with many different programs and projects throughout the city including the annual recognition of Cesar Chavez and the week long Man’s Inhumanity to Man events, including the Armenian Genocide Commemoration. Mr. Bell is also Glendale’s Sister City Coordinator and assists with the special event permitting process and public outreach campaigns.

Eliza Papazian is the Community Outreach Assistant for the City of Glendale’s Management Services Division. Eliza works under the direction of the Director of Communications & Community Relations to create and distribute press releases, promote and update social media platforms, produce and host the monthly segment for the local access television channel, update the community on upcoming events, and work closely with various departments within the organization and non-profit groups to best serve residents and businesses throughout the community. She has been with the City of Glendale since 2014 and was first introduced to Glendale as an intern for the City Manager’s office.
Eliza earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Southern California.
