The La Tuna Fire brought out the best in the Glendale community. Your compassion and generosity lifted the spirits of our emergency responders, and gave comfort to the men and women evacuated from their homes.
But this generosity cannot end with the doused flames of La Tuna Canyon. Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma forced tens of thousands of people out of their homes, and it is our duty as global partners and fellow Americans to lend a helping hand.
These notions of compassion and generosity are what fueled Glendale City Council's decision to make this webpage. Here you'll find links to relief funds that serve areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. If every one of Glendale’s 200,000 residents donated $1 to the recovery effort, non-profits like Feeding Texas could provide up to 80,000 hot meals to those in need.
We at the City of Glendale thank you for your support.
Note: All of the links below have been verified by www.charitynavigator.org as trusted organizations. The City of Glendale, however, still urges residents to learn how to spot charity scams. It's also worth noting that the below list is by no means exhaustive - there are several hurricane relief organizations not listed here that provide great services to those in need.
