Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five, featuring Hilary Alexander is the nation’s premier swing dance band. Showcasing the small-group sound of the late 1930’s and early 1940’s, the Campus Five is the most danceable swing band anywhere. The 7-piece Campus Five captures the true sound of the Swing-era, with all the energy and excitement that inspired millions to dance. Both founders have been dedicated Swing dancers for over 20 years, and the Campus Five have been featured at the premier Swing dance events around the world. Influences include the Benny Goodman Sextet, and Count Basie's Kansas City Six. Read more at www.campusfive.com.

Seating is limited and first come first served, no reserved seating. The Plaza seats 75 - 90 people for a performance; visitors are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and sit on the grassy hillsides in Brand Park. Performances run between 60 and 90 minutes without intermission.


The City of Glendale’s Performance Series began in 2014 to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the historic Brand Library & Art Center. The Brand Library & Art Center provides a free cultural asset to residents and attracts visitors to experience arts and cultural opportunities in the city. This Performance Series is designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. The Performance Series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.
