This quintet was formed in 2017 by young musicians in Los Angeles. Playing folk instruments characteristic of the region, the ensemble is committed to preserving a performance practice informed by the rich musical traditions local to Armenia and its surrounding cultures. The program will consist of Armenian folk, minstrel (ashugh) and sacred music, as well as Persian classical music.

Seating is limited and first come first served, no reserved seating. The Plaza seats 75 - 90 people for a performance; visitors are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and sit on the grassy hillsides in Brand Park. Performances run between 60 and 90 minutes without intermission.
The City of Glendale’s Performance Series began in 2014 to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the historic Brand Library & Art Center. The Brand Library & Art Center provides a free cultural asset to residents and attracts visitors to experience arts and cultural opportunities in the city. This Performance Series is designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. The Performance Series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.
