Bobby Barron & the Swing Thing Band, retro music with modern flair, will set your night on fire! From trendy night clubs and elegant cocktail lounges to exciting Hollywood premieres and private events, Bobby Barron Entertainment delivers the perfect blend of instrumentals, popular songs and dance music. Bobby Barron, as lead vocalist, will exceed your highest entertainment expectations and dazzle guests with popular music from the 1930s to 1960s covering American Song Book standards, swing, big band, jazz and blues genres. Take your party down memory lane from the great Hollywood musicals to the crooning of the Rat Pack era.

Also collaborating upon request with legendary jazz/blues vocalist, Barbara Morrison, The Swing Thing Band provides the perfect backdrop. One of the 50 Greatest Female Jazz Vocalists of all time, Barbara is a staple in the Southern California jazz scene with an impressive discography and 3 Grammy nominations. Slacks or tux – shake it up with Bobby Barron & the Swing Thing Band.


Seating is limited and first come first served, no reserved seating. The Plaza seats 75 - 90 people for a performance; visitors are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and sit on the grassy hillsides in Brand Park. Performances run between 60 and 90 minutes without intermission.


The City of Glendale’s Performance Series began in 2014 to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the historic Brand Library & Art Center. The Brand Library & Art Center provides a free cultural asset to residents and attracts visitors to experience arts and cultural opportunities in the city. This Performance Series is designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. The Performance Series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.
