On September 6, 2019,  Agent Paul Shubunka and his new K9 partner, Mike, graduated from the Basic Handler Course from Adlerhorst International in Jurupa Valley, CA. This course is 240 hours of intensive training for law enforcement personnel in the handling, deployment and care of a police service dog. Agt. Shubunka and K9 Mike successfully completed the curriculum.

Mike is a Dutch Shepherd from the Netherlands. K9 Mike was returned in 2021.
