THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. THIS POPULAR CLASS IS NOW FULL. WE REGRET THAT WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT RSVPs.

Dr. Thom Davis, Geologic Maps Foundation (www.geologicmapsfoundation.org), will teach this two-hour course that will cover basic topographic map reading; location, trail and route finding skills; basic compass reading and use of a GPS device; plus an introduction to geologic maps and their importance to outside activities. Class consists of an indoor lecture followed by an outside exercise. This free class is limited to 12 students, 12 years of age and older. Paper maps and loaner compasses will be provided to the students.
