Glendale has a Council-Manager form of government. Five councilmembers are elected at large to serve four year terms. The Mayor presides at Council meetings and has ceremonial responsibilities, in addition to his or her other Council duties.

To invite a Councilmember(s) to an event, please call (818) 548-4844 or mail the information to 613 East Broadway, Suite 200, Glendale, CA 91206.
Please include the date, time and location of the event, a contact person and their phone number. If you would like a Councilmember to speak at the event, include specific details. We'll be in contact with you within two weeks of receiving your request.
Request a Commendation or Proclamation from the Mayor of Glendale
The Mayor ratifies and issues proclamations and commendations based on each individual request. All
requests for commendations and proclamations must be submitted to the Mayor’s Office at
least TWO WEEKS prior to the date of event. To submit your request, please send an email to Certificates@GlendaleCA.gov. Please review the Commendation/Proclamation Guidelines before submitting the Commendation/Proclamation Request Form.
