CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK
Tuesday, May 1
- All Day -- Matisse’s Garden & Henri’s Scissors – Help create a mural based on books about artist, Henri Matisse outside the children’s room. A passive program that will continue through Friday.
- 7:00 p.m. -- KATHERINE APPLEGATE – author talk - Endling: The Last – sponsored and hosted in conjunction with our local children’s bookstore Once Upon a Time, the nation's oldest children's bookstore.
Wednesday, May 2
- 3:00 p.m., Main Floor -- Paper bird/airplane making and testing. Based on Dan Santat’s After the Fall.
Thursday, May 3
- 3:00 p.m., Main Floor -- Egg Drop - Children will engineer a device to cushion a confetti egg dropped from the library’s second floor balcony - based on Dan Santat’s After the Fall .
Friday, May 4 – May the Fourth Be With You
- 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. -- Dress up with our Star Wars props and take a photo. Make a Make paper light saber craft.
