Lecture and Hike: "Leapin' Lizards"
Join us for a lecture and hike through the park as we learn about the “herps” (snakes, lizards, frogs and more) that call the area their home. Chris DeGroof and Peggy Wu from the Southwestern Herpetologists Society will be our hosts as they share their passion for these animals. We begin at 9:00 a.m. (sharp) with a 45 minute talk in the Ranch House. Then head outside for two hours as we hike and search for the herps. This is a moderately easy 2.0 mile hike with several stops to catch and identify some of the local inhabitants.
