The purpose of the Scoping Meetings is to inform the public that the lead agency (Glendale) is evaluating a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and to solicit public comments regarding the type and extent of environmental analyses to be undertaken.

The Biogas Renewable Generation Project will generate approximately 12 megawatts of renewable green energy for the City of Glendale on a three-acre portion of the City landfill. The Proposed Project would beneficially utilize the naturally recurring landfill gas locally without having to transport the gas offsite.
