Virtual Teen Night Out Presents:
"Join Our Restorative Circle for Teens"
On Thursday, September, 17, 2020, the Youth & Family Services Section will present “Join Our Restorative Circle for Teens” with a virtual Teen Night Out (TNO) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The presentation will be conducted by Dr. Ilin Magran, with the Glendale Unified School District. Dr. Magran will explain how restorative circles allow teens the room to express themselves without judgment, and criticism. A circle is a versatile restorative practice that can be used proactively, to develop relationships and build community or reactively, to respond to wrongdoing, conflicts and problems. Restorative Circles give people an opportunity to speak and listen to one another in an atmosphere of safety, decorum and equality. Teens will learn to share, and express themselves peacefully among a group of peers.
