Virtual Teen Night Out Presents: “How to Become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic”
On Thursday, October 15, 2020, Youth & Family Services Section will present “How to Become an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic” with a virtual Teen Night Out (TNO) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The presentation will be conducted by Luis Manjarrez, NRP Ambulance Operator Coordinator for Glendale Fire Department. EMT’s and Paramedics are the uniformed men and women rescuing the victims of an accident or a disaster. Sometimes you'll see them in ambulances, sometimes they are in fire trucks, hospitals, or in helicopters. Join us for the discussion to learn about the different types of emergency medical care providers, the type of care they can provide, and the differences between each type. The presentation will also discuss how one can pursue a career in this industry.
