Milkweed Planting/Monarch Recovery Project

Save the monarch butterflies! Help plant native milkweed at Deukmejian Wilderness Park to provide habitat and food for monarch caterpillars and butterflies. The City of Glendale, Community Services & Parks, Trails and Open Space program is partnering with the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy (AFC) as part of AFC's Monarch Recovery Project. We'll provide tools, gloves, drinks and snacks. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing, and bring a hat. Families, individuals, clubs, and students needing community service hours are welcome. In case of rain, this workday will be cancelled. Please RSVP by clicking on the link above. Flyer
