Torn jeans? Broken toaster? Dull knife? Faulty lamp? We can help with that!
Looking for a fun and rewarding way to save your beloved household items and cherished possessions? Join us at Glendale Central Library's auditorium for a repair event that can help you do just that! Skilled volunteer Tinkers and Stitchers, as well as other specialty repair persons will be there to help you.
And if you're feeling extra adventurous, don't miss the chance to flex your own DIY muscles at our special fixing table! With occasional guidance from our talented volunteers, you'll have the chance to take charge and restore your items to their former glory with your own two hands.
Repair Cafe Terms and Conditions
At Repair Cafe, we pride ourselves in fixing items and saving the environment by reducing the number of items that enter our landfills. Our services are provided free of charge to members in our community. However, please be aware that although we make every effort to attempt a repair, there are some items that we may not be able to repair. Because we are a free event, we are unable to provide any replacement parts. Thus, all repairs brought into our event must be accompanied with replacement parts already purchased and have items that would allow testing of the repair. Also, while at Repair Cafe, we will not accept the below items for repair. In addition, items must be in clean condition in order to receive a repair. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to seeing you at one of our events!
Items not acceptable for repair:
- Sewing Machines
- Cathode Ray Tube Televisions
- Cell Phone Screens
- Internal Watch Components (wristband and battery ok)
We reserve the right to refuse a repair at our own discretion. By bringing in your item, you agree that repairs are brought at your own risk and we will not be liable for any damages whatsoever.
Join Library, Arts & Culture, and the City of Glendale’s Office of Sustainability to celebrate the Earth and learn about sustainability. This event is part of the Sustainable California Libraries grant program, which is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
