Glendale Library, Arts & Culture and Rainbopedia, the online archive of global LGBTQ+ personal stories, will be offering the LGBTQ+ community and allies a free storytelling workshop designed to assist participants in creating their own short videos for Storytellers, Rainbopedia’s oral history project.
Videos can be about yourself, someone you know, or a historical person, place, or event. Some video subject examples are:
1) An LGBTQ+ person who was your mentor
2) What it’s been like as an LGBTQ+ person in your community
3) An LGBTQ+ historic person who has inspired you
4) An event that occurred, in your community or someplace else in the world, where LGBTQ+ history was made.
No experience in video or film production is necessary. Participants who enroll in the workshop will be assigned time slots and work together with Rainbopedia’s creative team members assisting them in scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing their videos — all in one session. The workshop will take place at GTV’s studio located in Glendale, CA.
Please write to info@rainbopedia.org today with your name, email address, and phone number if you would like to enroll in Rainbopedia’s Storytellers Boot Camp workshop. We’ll get back to you with more information.
