Join us at the Glendale Repair Cafe with Suay LA!
Torn jeans? Broken toaster? Dull knife? Faulty lamp? We can help with that!
Looking for a fun and rewarding way to save your beloved household items and cherished possessions? Join us at Pacific Park Library for a repair event that can help you do just that! Skilled volunteer Tinkers and Stitchers, as well as other specialty repair persons will be there to help you.
And if you're feeling extra adventurous, don't miss the chance to flex your own DIY muscles at our special fixing table! With occasional guidance from our talented volunteers, you'll have the chance to take charge and restore your items to their former glory with your own two hands.
We will be joined by Suay LA at our Repair Cafe! You can try repairing and upcycling clothing at the Club Mend table, breather new life into items at the Community Dye Bath, and browse through Suay's shop at the event.
We will have a discount on the Community Dye Bath for the first 50 Glendale residents!
🌟Volunteer Opportunity
Do you have a skill that you can lend to the Glendale Repair Cafe? Such as a sewing, knife sharpening, computer help, gardening, bicycle repair? Or perhaps you want to get better at one of your tinkering, creating, and crafting skills? Maybe you're great at event logistics and greeting people?
We would love to have you volunteer, coach, and help repair items at the Glendale Repair Cafe!
Sign-up by filling out this form. We are also happy to offer volunteer hour credit. Volunteers can bring items to be fixed too!
📃 Repair Cafe Terms and Conditions
At Repair Cafe, we pride ourselves in fixing items and saving the environment by reducing the number of items that enter our landfills. Our services are provided free of charge to members in our community. However, please be aware that although we make every effort to attempt a repair, there are some items that we may not be able to repair. Because we are a free event, we are unable to provide any replacement parts. Thus, all repairs brought into our event must be accompanied with replacement parts already purchased and have items that would allow testing of the repair. Also, while at Repair Cafe, we will not accept the below items for repair. In addition, items must be in clean condition in order to receive a repair. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to seeing you at one of our events!
Items not acceptable for repair:
- Sewing Machines
- Cathode Ray Tube Televisions
- Cell Phone Screens
- Internal Watch Components (wristband and battery ok)
We reserve the right to refuse a repair at our own discretion. By bringing in your item, you agree that repairs are brought at your own risk and we will not be liable for any damages whatsoever.
