Electrician - Plant Operations 

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art medical facility. 

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, including power outages, short circuits, and faulty wiring.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including OSHA standards and hospital-specific protocols.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project completion.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent work experience installing and troubleshooting commercial electrical systems required.
  • State of California Department of Industrial Relations Certified General Electrician required.
  • Fire Safety Card within 90-days of hire required.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
