Find Zoning Information for a Property

The Interactive Zoning Map of the City shows the various zoning categories and where they are located. The map is an interactive online tool offering address-specific zoning information including land use and development standards applicable to the site, access to Assessor parcel reports and more. Once you have searched for the address, please click on the parcel to access the links.

Zoning the city is the process of dividing the city into areas that have different development regulations. These regulations are found in the City's Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the zoning ordinance is to designate, regulate and restrict the location and use of buildings, structures and land to protect residential, commercial, and industrial and recreation/open space areas alike from harmful encroachment by incompatible uses. The City of Glendale has:

7 Residential Districts (ROS, RIR, RI, R-3050, R-2250, R-1650, and R-1250 zones)
7 Commercial Districts (C1, C2, C3, CR, CPD, CH, and CA zones)
2 Industrial Districts (IND and T zones)
4 Mixed Use Districts (IMU, IMU-R, SFMU, and DSP zones)
4 Special Purpose Districts (CE, CEM, MS and SR zones).

The City also employs various overlay zones that add focused regulations to specific properties or areas:
