Steps to Rent

1. For a picnic reservation, please visit MyGlendaleParks.com to view availability and obtain
a permit to hold your time. First check facility availability, then add your desired date to
your cart and pay the non-refundable $50 permit fee (which will be applied to your final
reservation). Staff will contact you within 3 business days to finalize your reservation and
any remaining fees due. All picnic and community building reservation fees are due at
the time of booking.

2. For a wedding, or community building reservation, please do the following:

a. Check availability at MyGlendaleParks.com and then complete the Facility Permit
Application by clicking on the button above and submit it online (a form is required
for all permits, but customers may also complete one in person if they wish to be
prioritized). For sports requests, please complete the Field Reservation Request
Form and return it to the location listed on the form. Please note that completing
an application does not guarantee a reservation, and customers coming to a center
or the Customer Service Office in person may receive a permit before staff are able
to review forms submitted online.

b. Upon confirmation of availability of the facility, staff will contact you with any follow up
questions, and to discuss your reservation.

c. Upon receiving your reservation, make arrangements with staff to finalize all permit
requirements, and make all applicable payments by the deadline provided.

d. Two weeks prior to the event date, reach out to staff to discuss and finalize the plot
plan, if applicable.

3. If you have any questions or wish to discuss availability prior to applying, please
contact the facility.

Be Prepared to Answer the Following

What type of event are you having which prompted you to reserve a space? Common reservations include birthday parties, birthday party picnics, wedding and wedding reception, a meeting, staff training, soccer or basketball practice or game, etc.
How many people will attend your event?
Do you plan on serving *alcohol during your event?
How much time will you need to set-up prior to the arrival of your guests? Rental fees begin from the time you enter a facility for set-up and end when you leave the facility after you clean-up.
Do you want a jumper? Please see the list of approved jumper vendors HERE. You may use any vendor, but if they are not pre-approved, we will require insurance from the vendor.
Will your event be catered?
Will you need access to a kitchen? Additional fees apply for use of the kitchen or kitchenette at a community center and it must be reserved in conjunction with a room reservation.
How do you envision serving the food, buffet style or table service?
How do you envision tables and chairs to be set-up, auditorium style where everyone faces a speaker or banquet style with round tables and dance floor?
Do you need additional tables for cake and desserts and/or presents?
Will you have amplified sound during your event?

Wedding, Wedding Receptions, Wedding Photos

Would you like to have the wedding photos, ceremony and reception all on the same day?
Are you reserving the space for wedding photos, engagement shoot, or other event where you have asked a photographer to take pictures during your reservation?

Field Reservations

What sport is this for?
Is this for youth sports, or adult sports?
Are you flexible with your times or fields (i.e. is this a CIF game that requires a particular field, or are you flexible with when and where you practice – the more flexible you are, the more likely you are to get time).
How many people will attend your field use daily?
How much time will you need to warm-up prior to the start of your game/activity? Rental fees begin from the time you enter the field and end when you leave the facility after you clean-up.
Do you need additional tables and chairs for check-in or check-out?
Will you have amplified sound during your event?

* Reservations that have alcohol are only allowed at specific facilities. These reservations are subject to approval, have an additional fee, and require security guards based on the number of guests attending the event. In some cases, the person or organization requesting to use the facility and is serving alcohol during the event, may be required to obtain a 1-day liquor license through the ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) Board of California.

Common Rules of Thumb

Reservations must be made two weeks prior to the day of your reservation.
Reservations are processed first come, first serve. Once a reservation is “in process” (i.e. a customer has had contact with staff and the date is held while details are being worked out or a permit or reservation has been provided to a customer, even if not paid for yet), the date will not be available for another customer to book unless the first customer fails to meet payment or insurance requirements or cancels. Customers coming in person to a center or Customer Service Office will receive priority over applications sent via email or online (if no other permit is “in process” for the requested date).
Depending on your reservation, a $500 refundable security deposit may apply.
Reservations times must include the customer’s set-up and clean-up time (including warm-up time for field reservations).
Staff fees will be assessed for all reservations taking place at a community center including the center’s outdoor spaces.
Staff fees are based on the scope of the reservation at a facility, set-up, maintenance, and clean-up.
Customers will be responsible for the payment of tables and chairs unless the room is furnished with tables and chairs as part of the standard set-up for the space.
Insurance may be required for your event. You may purchase your own insurance or via a vendor whose information we provide.
