1. Contractor submits the Energy Storage Interconnection Application via PowerClerk and uploads the following supporting documents:

Full Plan Set (which will be forwarded to Building and Safety).
2. GWP Solar Team reviews/approves the application.
3. GWP Solar Team changes the status of the project in PowerClerk to "ES Plans Ready for Submittal to Building & Safety and sends an email to the solar contractor and the customer notifying that the application has been reviewed and approved by GWP and the Full Plan Set (attached to the email) should be submitted to Building and Safety by uploading it to the Glendale Permits portal.
4. Once the Full Plan set is submitted by the contractor via the Glendale Permits Portal, Building and Safety reviews the ES plans and contacts the solar contractor for payment of fees, issuance of permits, etc. For information regarding the permit process and requirements, please contact Building and Safety at (818) 548-3200.
5. Building, Electrical and Fire review and approve the plans. Allow 2 - 4 weeks for this review.
6. The Electrical Permit is issued by Building & Safety and sent to the contractor via email.
7. The contractor installs the Energy Storage system.
8. Solar contractor uses their Glendale Permits account to schedule their inspection with Building and Safety.
9. After the inspection and final sign-off, Building & Safety notifies GWP Engineering that the Energy Storage system passed inspection.
10. Upon receipt of inspection release, GWP Engineering submits a work order to GWP Field Services for testing of the Energy Storage system (7-10 working days).
11. Once the Energy Storage system is tested and released, GWP Solar Team changes the status of the project to “ES PTO Issued and sends an email to the contractor and the customer notifying that the Energy Storage system can be turned on by the contractor or property owner.
