Service Requirements

• Subscribe to trash, recycling, and organics recycling service
• Inform new and existing tenants, employees and contractors of proper sorting requirement
• Provide for the recovery of edible food (for large generators of food waste)

Exemptions are possible where:

• There is lack of space for containers to be safely serviced
• Current self-haul efforts result in a significant reduction in waste
• Minimal amounts of organic waste per week are generated

To request an exemption, submit a City Waiver/Exemption Form.

Bulky Items

• Properties receive up to 4 free bulky item pickup appointments per calendar year.
• Property managers are responsible for educating their tenants about proper bulky item disposal practices.
• Account holders (i.e. property managers) must contact their hauler directly to schedule a bulky item pickup.
• Additional pickups may be scheduled for a fee.

Leaving bulky items on the curb or street, without arranging for proper disposal is considered illegal dumping and subject to fines.
