Scope of Work

The Alex Theatre Expansion Project scope of work includes the construction of three large dressing rooms, a freight elevator, a loading dock, an additional storage space, an electrical systems and a backstage passenger elevator. The renovation project when completed will add approximately 6,600 square feet to the theatre to accommodate the improvements that are expected to attract a wider-range of audiences to one of Glendale's cultural landmarks.

Since the start of construction in July 2013, Public Works Engineering staff, construction crews, and Alex Theatre staff are closely coordinating to ensure both theatre operations and construction activities progress on budget and schedule. The Alex Theatre has remained open for events and shows since early November 2013. The project is 98% complete.
