Scope of Work
The project scope of work generally includes the followings:
- The FY 2016-17 ADA Curb Ramp Installation and Pavement Repair: selective removal and reconstruction of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, and alley aprons, horizontal saw-cutting of lifted sidewalk, curb ramp modification and reconstruction to meet the ADA guidelines requirements; remodeling of roof drains; removal of existing trees and planting new 24-inch box trees; disposal of all construction debris, including disposal of asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavements together.
- Bus Stop Improvements on Verdugo Road, Chevy Chase Drive and Wilson Avenue at Broadway: removal and disposal of existing soils and grass to construct 4-inch PCC pavement/bus stops landing area to meet ADA guidelines requirements, construction of PCC curbs and gutter and retaining curbs of various heights and retaining walls up to 4 feet in height, relocation of existing sign poles and signs, painting the red curb markings with bus stenciling.
- Removal and Replacement of Decking at Central Park Paseo: removal and replacement of the existing wooden decking planks with composite TimberTech or approved equal decking planks.
- Sidewalk Construction on Lowell Avenue per Plan No. 1-3022: removal and disposal of existing soils and grass to construct the 4-inch PCC pavement and retaining curbs of various heights slope regrading and landscaping.
- Monument Construction on Foothill Boulevard per Plan No. 1-3034: construction of quick-crete pre-cast custom “Welcome to Glendale” monuments, construction of median curbs, and installation of decorative rock and cobbles, construction of solar powered accent lighting, removal of conflicting striping and striping installation.
- Miscellaneous Work at Various Locations: removal of concrete news rack bunker at 702 N. Brand Blvd, and reconstruction of culvert at 1274 Mariposa Street
