- Construction Schedule

Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2014 and be completed by January 2015 barring adverse weather conditions. The sewer work will be completed during the school summer break and pavement work in fall 2014.
Current Construction Status
- Paving work will occur in 5 phases on Glendale Avenue between San Fernando Road and Broadway Street will begin on Monday, October 27, 2014- Tuesday, November 18, 2014. One traffic lanes will be closed in each direction during paving work. Access may be restricted from 7:00 am-7:00 pm. Street parking will not be allowed during the construction hours and temporary no parking signs will be posted in advance for enforcement.

- Cold-In-Place (CIP) Recycling Existing Pavement Base- November 3, 2014- November 7, 2014
- Re-roll of (CIP) Pavement Base - November 12- November 13, 2014
- Place Leveling Pavement on Side Streets- November 10, 2014
- Place Rubberized Pavement Surface Course - November 13, 2014- November 18, 2014
Project Location
Scope of Work-
- Upsizing of the existing sewer main pipe line between Chevy Chase Drive and East Maple Street
- Repair of the existing sewer main pipe line at various locations;
- Selective repair of damaged concrete curbs, gutters, driveway aprons, sidewalks, curb ramps, cross gutters, alley aprons and bus pads;
- Grinding of existing pavement and Cold-in-Place rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement base
- Overlaying base pavement with rubberized asphalt pavement;
- Modification of traffic signals;
- Removal of in-roadway pedestrian warning lights and installation of pedestrian flashing beacons
- Installation of striping and pavement markings.
