Scope of Work

The Community Services and Parks (CSP) routinely inspects playground equipment located in citywide parks and maintains a database tracking each play structure.  This database keeps a record of the installation date, annual inspections, completed repairs, and the useful life expiration date for each location.  This information is useful in planning and updating the playground equipment replacement program which has multiple funding sources including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Quimby Development Impact Fees (DIF), and capital improvement funds (CIP).  Currently, the structure at New York Park is in need of replacement. This structure has out lived it's useful life and have become un-maintainable and out of safety compliance. The structures is to be removed and replaced with a new structure and replace the wood chip fall surfacing with rubberized fall surfacing.
