We understand that some customers may encounter financial difficulties when it comes to paying their bills. That's why we offer various programs aimed at assisting those in need. If you're having trouble paying your GWP bill, you may be eligible for one of our financial assistance programs listed below. Alternatively, you can click here to request a payment arrangement. Glendale Care
The Glendale Care Program offers a $23.50 monthly discount to GWP electric customers who meet low-income guidelines. Proof of income will need to be submitted for the discount to be approved.

Utility Users Tax Exemption
Households with at least one member that is 62 years or older and income below $13,950, or low-income households with a disabled person age 55 or older may be eligible for this exemption. Click here to learn more and apply.
Helping Hand
The Helping Hand Program offers emergency assistance to Glendale residents of up to $150.00 per account. To qualify, customers must meet certain qualifications including loss of job or reduction in work hours, unexpected medical expenses, or loss of a family member. Guardian Program
The Guardian Program provides customers monthly electric bill discounts using prescribed medical equipment or space conditioning. Click here to apply.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded program that provides assistance with past due utility bills. In response to the pandemic, additional funds have been allocated to help low-income households afford their energy costs and avoid making cutbacks on other household essentials. Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities provides assistance with utility bills and other basic needs such as rental assistance, prescriptions, and clothing. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic they are also offering assistance for those suffering from job loss or pay reduction. Salvation Army
The Salvation Army provides bill assistance of up to $50.00 per household. The Salvation Army also provides job training skills, day care programs, and other services. Customers may contact the Salvation Army directly for utility bill assistance at (818) 246-5586.
